NextGen 9-1-1 Caucus Co-Chairs Urge House Passage of Enhancing First Response Act

Representatives Kat Cammack (R-FL) and Norma Torres (D-CA), co-chairs of the Congressional NextGen 9-1-1 Caucus, sent a letter on July 2 urging House Speaker Mike Johnson to bring S.725, the Enhancing First Response Act, to the House floor for consideration under suspension of the rules.

U.S. Senators Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI) and Josh Hawley (R-MO) have introduced the Lifeline for First Responders Act (S.4819), bipartisan legislation to better support the mental health needs of firefighters, EMS personnel, and emergency dispatchers.

At 31 years old, Ashlee Roy has built a life centered around service, resilience and family. Married to her husband for 11 years, and together for more than 16, Ashlee and her husband are raising four children: three girls and one boy. Life in their household is constantly moving, filled with the energy and chaos that naturally comes with a family of six. Yet for Ashlee, that busy lifestyle is something she treasures deeply.

APCO International is seeking comments for the reaffirmation of American National Standard (ANS) Multi-Functional Multi-Discipline Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) Minimum Functional Requirements. A reaffirmation occurs when there are no substantive changes to the standard from the last version.
