Recognize an ECC Using Technology to Benefit Their Center, Employees and Customers
Today’s emergency communications centers face a myriad of technology offerings and challenges. A properly implemented technology project has a direct correlation to operational policies and procedures by changing the way the job gets done. It should make the operation more efficient, which will directly benefit the center employees and the public served. This award is designed to recognize centers in (2) categories for their use of technological advancements and the demonstrated benefit received to their employees and the citizens they serve.
Examples of projects include but are not limited to Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD), radio, 9-1-1, public safety IT, broadband, electronic crime reporting, mapping, GPS to name a few.
Nomination Procedures
Nominations may be made by public safety communications employees and the vendor community with the nominee being the center that implemented the technology project.
One center will be recognized as winner in each category.

What do the award winners receive?
Each winning center will receive a complimentary day-pass registration for a representative to the Annual Conference for the day of the award ceremony. The winning centers will also be recognized at the annual conference, in PSC magazine and on the website.
Prior-year nominees may be re-nominated and will be recognized as multi-year award winners if fully eligible.
Technology Leadership Award Categories
Technology Leadership Award – Large Agency (76+ employees)
This award recognizes emergency communications centers with 76 or more employees that use technological advancements to benefit their centers, employees and customers.
Examples of projects may include (Not all-inclusive)
Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD), Radio 9-1-1, Public Safety Information Technology, Broadband, Electronic Crime Reporting, Mapping and GPS Technology.
Nominations of agencies may be made by public safety communications center employees and members of the vendor community.
Technology Leadership Award -Small/Medium Agency (1-75 employees)
This award recognizes Communications Centers of 1 to 75 employees that use technological advancements to benefit their centers, employees and customers.
Examples of projects may include (Not all-inclusive)
Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD); Radio 9-1-1; Public Safety Information Technology; Broadband; Electronic Crime Reporting; Mapping and; GPS Technology.
Nominations of agencies may be made by public safety communications center employees and members of the vendor community
