A CCAM fulfills an important function in promoting commercial membership and engagement at the chapter level, serving alongside and supporting the goals of a chapter’s officers, and facilitating communication between the chapter’s commercial members and the association’s Commercial Advisory Council.
The APCO International CCAM Excellence Award is to recognize and celebrate outstanding contributions and achievements of an exceptional Chapter Commercial Advisory Member (CCAM).
Nomination Process
Nominations will open August 4, 2025, and close January 15, 2026.
Nominees will be asked to provide the following information:
- Name and contact information (phone, email, and USPS mailing address)
- APCO membership number and the APCO chapter(s) in which you hold membership
- The name of your company AND the name of any parent company
- A letter(s) of recommendation that provides examples of the following criteria:
- Must be a CCAM in good standing for at least two (2) years;
- Exemplary performance and consistent achievement of targets as define by one’s chapter;
- Demonstrated innovation and problem-solving skills;
- Commitment to professional development and teamwork;
- Positive impact on commercial members, members of public safety communications, and the broader community;
- Mentors other APCO chapter members
Selection Process
Once a selection has been made by the CAC and approved by the Executive Committee, a congratulatory letter will be sent to the award recipient. The award recipient will be recognized during APCO’s Annual Conference & Expo (beginning at APCO 2026). APCO will not reimburse the recipient for any travel expenses. If the recipient is unable to attend the conference, a chapter president can accept the award on their behalf.
