APCO Seeks Working Group Members to Assist With the Revision of an Operational Standard

Multi-Functional, Multi-Discipline Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) Minimum Functional Requirements

Alexandria, VA – The Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials (APCO) International has issued a call for participation for working group members to participate in the revision of APCO ANS Multi-Functional, Multi-Discipline Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) Minimum Functional Requirements. The revision and redesignation of this standard provides public safety agencies with tools to assist them in planning and preparing the Request for Proposal (RFP) accurately meeting the needs of their emergency communications center (ECC).

“The revision of this standard will update the detailed, comprehensive and functional requirements for CAD systems” said Becky Neugent, President of APCO International. “APCO remains committed to supporting public safety communications centers by providing sample requirements to be used when completing RFP’s specific for their needs.”

APCO International is seeking volunteers to establish a working group of diverse stakeholders to contribute to the revision and redesignation of this standard. All interested persons should complete the online application at Join a Working Group.

The deadline to sign up is October 1, 2023. Selections will be made within two weeks of the deadline and all will be notified of their status via email. Additional information can be obtained by contacting the Standards Program Manager at [email protected] or by calling (469) 424-7599.
