Silent Key: Richard “Dick” Reynolds

APCO Life Member Richard “Dick” Reynolds, 76, passed away July 22 at his home in Felton, Delaware. After retiring from the Air Force, Reynolds went to work as a telecommunications specialist with the Delaware Department of Technology and Information. There he worked closely with Delaware’s 9-1-1 centers and became involved with the Mid-Eastern APCO Chapter and APCO International in numerous ways, including service as an AFC Frequency Adviser beginning in 1992, chair of the AFC Advisory Committee (2004-08), a member for several years on the Spectrum Management and Awards Committees, and he chaired committees overseeing the volunteer communications and logistics for the Annual Conferences of APCO International hosted in Baltimore, MD (2007) and Washington, DC (2015).

Richard is survived by his wife Patricia, three children, Michelle, Teresa and Michael, along with seven grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, July 28 at 1 p.m. Visitation starts at noon at the Funeral Home of Michael J. Ambruso, 1175 S. State St., Dover, Delaware. Interment will follow at Sharon Hills Memorial Park in Dover.
