Alexandria, VA – APCO International announced that Meghan Architect, formerly APCO’s Chief Marketing Officer and Interim Chief of Staff, has been selected to officially fill the position of Chief of Staff.
Since joining APCO International in 2012 as the Marketing Manager, Ms. Architect has steadily risen through the ranks, assuming the role of Director of Marketing and Communications in 2015. By 2019, she had secured her Certified Public-Safety Executive (CPE) accreditation, followed by her Certified Association Executive (CAE) accreditation in 2021. Her journey culminated in June 2023 when she was appointed Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) and just recently in January 2024 as Interim Chief of Staff.
During her tenure at APCO International spanning over a decade, Ms. Architect nurtured and expanded a multifaceted department. Her responsibilities encompassed association advertising, orchestrating email campaigns, managing web and social media presence, and curating print publications. As Director, she spearheaded the implementation of a cohesive marketing strategy, which enveloped brand management, public relations, digital marketing, and event promotion across all aspects of APCO.
As an integral part of the executive management team, Ms. Architect will lend her support to the CEO/executive director, facilitating effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, partners and the Board of Directors. Collaborating closely with senior leadership, she will contribute to the formulation of goals, objectives, policies and priorities for the association.
