Alexandria, VA – APCO extends its congratulations to John Provenzano as the new chief executive officer for NENA. APCO and NENA have worked closely together for years on several issues including the creation of industry standards, the National Joint Telecommunicator Emergency Response Taskforce (NJTI-TERT) and most recently a join letter to members of the U.S. Senate Commerce Committee urging federal investment in Next Generation 9-1-1 (NG9-1-1) technology.
“Congratulations to John on his new role as CEO of NENA,” said APCO CEO & Executive Director Mel Maier. “We look forward to working together to promote a stronger 9-1-1 system for the country. We also want to thank Brian Fontes for his partnership through the years and wish him all the best.”
