The Mid-Eastern APCO Chapter, hosts of APCO 2025 Baltimore, outlined efforts to expand the chapter’s reach and keep members involved with events and training.
“The chapter has been working hard at engaging with chapter members in Maryland, Delaware and Washington, D.C., to grow participation and engagement with the chapter,” wrote Tom Ward, conference co-chair and Mid-Eastern APCO 1st vice president. “Our 2024 Fall Conference & Awards was one of our most attended and sponsored events. We’ve engaged and partnered with our commercial industry partners throughout the past year to offer training and scholarship opportunities to attend events regionally. We’re excited for our future as we grow and offer the most to our members.”
Isaac Entsua-Mensah, chief of 9-1-1 operations, Office of Unified Communications, District of Columbia, is president of the Mid-Eastern APCO Chapter. APCO 2025 Conference co-chairs are Ward, manager, Frederick County (Maryland) 9-1-1, and Tenea Reddick, director, Baltimore City 9-1-1. Reddick is also treasurer of the Mid- Eastern chapter.
