Zamaad Khan is an Assistant Engineer at MTA Construction & Development, specializing in Communications Engineering. He supports Wi-Fi, cellular, and radio communication initiatives under the Vice President and Chief Communications Engineer, contributing to the design and deployment of critical transit communication infrastructure across MTA agencies.
An Engineer-in-Training, Zamaad brings cross-disciplinary expertise in electrical engineering along with hands-on experience in hardware and software systems integration, while still eager to grow further within his role. He is FAA Part 107 certified and actively participates in the MTA’s UAS (drone) program, supporting aerial inspections and engineering assessments for communications-based projects.
Zamaad earned his B.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the New York Institute of Technology in 2021. He began his career as a Controls Engineer at Quest Defense in 2022, gaining experience in engineering design and systems integration supporting military aircraft platforms, before joining MTA Construction & Development as an Engineer Trainee serving multiple roles.
He holds a Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) certification in Electrical and Computer Engineering and is working toward Professional Engineer (PE) licensure.
