On August 4, 2025, APCO sent a letter congratulating Arielle Roth on her confirmation as Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Communications and Information. In this role Roth will serve as Administrator of the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) which plays a key role in advancing public safety communications, particularly in managing federal spectrum use and supporting the nationwide implementation of NG9-1-1. APCO looks forward to working closely with Assistant Secretary Roth and NTIA on critical priorities, including NG9-1-1 deployment, effective spectrum policy, and ensuring the continued success and reauthorization of FirstNet.
