Visioning Exercise 2008
A Look To the Future
The Vision for Public Safety Communications Capabilities
This first APCO Visioning Exercise was conducted with tremendous input from the participants. As one of the participants stated, "From the seeds of the conversations .... we can expect to reap tremendous gains in creating true, realistic, and sustainable outcomes." Staff and the facilitator will compile the data gleaned from the day's activities and begin to craft the exercise report and next steps. Our thanks to all of the participants and particularly to our sponsors, Intrado and InterAct.
Deliverable:
A report on the outcomes of the visioning exercise, to include APCO sponsored ANSI standards designed to set the tone and direction for the development of technologies to support public safety communications.
This report and draft ANSI standard will be presented at the APCO Annual Conference and Exposition in Kansas City, MO in August 2008.
