APCO AND PTI PRESENT TECH FOR EXECS

The Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials (APCO) International announced today its partnership with Public Technology Institute (PTI) to provide a specialized technical program designed for the unique educational needs of executive and strategic decision-making level public safety communications professionals. Tech for Execs will take place Tuesday, February 17 in Orlando, Fla. in conjunction with the 6th Annual APCO International Winter Summit.
"APCO International has partnered with Public Technology Institute to provide a cutting-edge program that will provide the critical knowledge and tools required for executive leaders to more efficiently and effectively manage the technical functions of a public safety communications agency," APCO International President Chris Fischer said.
Attendance is limited and registrants are first required to complete a brief application. Attendees must be an elected local government official or be employed by a local government department or agency that regularly uses public safety communications services. Attendees must be at a strategic, decision-making level or executive-management level. The application deadline is February 3. Attendees of the 2009 Tech for Execs program are also eligible to receive credits toward APCO International’s RPL program.
