Do You Know a Winner?
We’re looking for the telecommunicator, RF technologist, Information technologist, line supervisor, trainer, and communications center director of the year!
APCO International presents six awards to public safety communications personnel who have demonstrated the highest levels of personal and professional conduct and performance in the line of duty. The deadline for nominations is April 1, 2008.
Nominees must have been employed in the applicable category by a public safety agency between April 1, 2007 and March 31, 2008. Nominees do not have to be members of APCO International.
The nominating person must provide written information about the nominee relating to various criteria of job performance and other attributes. All nominations must use the Nomination Packet provided via APCO’s website (MSWord document) or call the Membership Department to have the packet faxed. Links for the downloadable packets are below.
We prefer nominations be electronically submitted via e-mail to awards@apco911.org. We will accept the nomination package via snail sent to G. James: The PSAPs , 351 N. Williamson Blvd., Daytona Beach, FL 32114-1112.
Nomination packets must be e-mailed or postmarked
NO LATER than APRIL 1, 2008.
Selecting a Winner
The Awards Committee of APCO International will select a winner in each category by May 1, 2008, and the awards will be presented at the 74th Annual Conference & Exposition in Kansas City, Missouri. One winner in each category will receive a fully paid trip to the Annual Conference & Exposition, including registration, travel expenses and hotel accommodations.
