The information submitted via this application form and the associated payment method form will be transmitted through our secure server. If you prefer, you may download the Membership Application Form (89 KB) and mail or fax it to the Membership Department as indicated on the bottom of the form.

APCO's Pro-ration schedule
Headquarters staff shall invoice dues at the full applicable rate for each individual becoming a new member during January through March. Individuals applying for membership from April through September shall be invoiced at the full applicable rate, but the following calendar year's dues shall be pro-rated and credit given for the months of the second year that were previously paid by the member's first year's dues. New members joining from October through December shall not be invoiced dues for that calendar year.

Canadian Membership is handled through our Canadian Chapter. To apply for membership in Canada download the Canadian Membership Application Form (88 KB) and submit as indicated on the bottom of the form. Canadian Dues are paid in Canadian currency.

SELECT APPROPRIATE MEMBERSHIP CATEGORY
Active: Tier One - $88.00 Personnel responsible for management, design, construction, installation, command, and operation of public safety communications systems and supporting information systems are eligible for this category. Such persons must be employed by, retired from or a volunteer of a governmental entity, or a contractor of a governmental entity providing the described services. Must be actively engaged in or retired from the performance of the described services for the specific entity on a regular basis and may not have a conflicting commercial interest which provides a significant portion of their income. Examples of qualifying positions include but are not limited to engineers, technicians, managers, information systems specialists, supervisors and telecommunicators. Active members may vote on association matters, may enjoy all benefits and, except where otherwise limited, may serve in any capacity in the association and its chartered groups.

Active: Tier Two - $115.00 Applicants as defined above in Tier One residing in California, Louisiana and Oregon are to select this Tier (Note: Tier selection/membership dues are set by each respective Chapter).

Member - $66.00 Those non-administrative and non-supervisory personnel otherwise meeting the requirements of Active Membership, at the applicant's discretion, may select this category and those persons not meeting the requirements of any other category of membership that share the goals and objectives of the Association are eligible for this category. Examples include engineers, information systems specialist, technicians and telecommunicators who choose not to participate in the Active Category. Voting privileges are not extended to the Member category; otherwise they may continue to enjoy all privileges of the Association.
