APCO Institute needs a voice of the membership and the industry to assist it in its operations. This voice should include individuals who are currently working in public safety communications. For that reason, APCO Institute maintains the APCO Institute Advisory Committee.

The Institute Advisory Committee (ADCOMM) is considered an integral part of APCO Institute, Inc. Although advisory in nature, members of the Committee reflect the overall composition of APCO International and are appointed to serve as technical and policy advisors to the Institute Board of Directors. The ADCOMM maintains an open working relationship with staff and monitors the Institute activities including, but not limited to, the quality of training programs developed or offered by the Institute.
