CTO Standard Open for Review
The Call Center Standards Committee has recently focused its efforts on establishing a Minimum Training Standard for Communications Training Officers. A draft standard has been written and is available for your perusal and comments at http://www.apcointl.org/about/911/standards.php. Region 14 (Indiana) Public Safety Regional Planning Comittees
On January 24, the 800 MHz Regional Conformance and Review Committee (RCRC) meeting will convene at 10:00a.m. at the Indiana Department of Transportation Traffic Management Center. APCO Reemphasizes Need for Broadband Communications
APCO International reemphasized the need for Congress and the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to address the long standing need for broadband communications capacity that meets rigorous public safety service requirements. The announcement was made following the FCC's action last week initiating a proceeding to seek comments on a proposal to make changes in the licensing rules for certain data channels within the current 700 MHz band public safety allocation.
