Last Minute Victory for Public Safety
Before adjourning for the year, Congress passed the Call Home Act of 2006 (S. 2653). The bill includes language to speed up the distribution of $1 billion dollars in funding of public safety interoperable communications grants that were made available in the Deficit Reduction Act of 2005 (Law 109-171). National Baseline Survey Findings Show Significant Levels of Interoperability Across the Nation
