CTO Standard Open for Comment
The Call Center Standards Committee has recently focused its efforts on establishing a Minimum Training Standard for Communications Training Officers. Following the same course as with developing the recently adopted Minimum Training Standards for First-Level Supervisor, the committee has gathered current training standards and curricula from across the nation to determine a baseline standard. A draft standard has been written and is available for your perusal and comment on the

Region 14 (Indiana) Public Safety Regional Planning Comittees to Hold 700 MHz Regional Public Safety Meeting and 800 MHz NPSPAC Regional Conformance and Review Committee Meeting
On January 24, the 800 MHz Regional Conformance and Review Committee (RCRC) meeting will convene at 10:00a.m. at the Indiana Department of Transportation Traffic Management Center. Immediately following, Region 14 will convene its 700 MHz Regional Planning Committee meeting. Both meetings are open to the public. For additional information, please contact Alex R. The Region 18 (Louisiana) 700 MHz Public Safety Planning Committee announces that its next meeting will be held on January 17 at 4:30 p.m. at the Cypress Bend Resort in The Learning Center, 2000 Cypress Bend Parkway, Many, La. The purpose of this meeting is to review and discuss the draft 700 MHz plan. APCO Seeking 9-1-1 Call Tapes
APCO International is working on a project to educate the public about the dangers of using 9-1-1 for non-emergencies. We are looking for humorous calls in which citizens have dialed 9-1-1 instead of 4-1-1, reported trivial matters, or reported other non-emergencies. Call to Action: APCO Encourages Agencies to File Comments on Cyren Call Proposal
The FCC has opened a docket (RM-11348) to receive comments on a proposal from Cyren Call Communications to reallocate 30 MHz of spectrum now slated for auction in the 700 MHz band.
