APCO RETAINS to be featured at Illinois Chapter Conference and New Mexico Chapter Conference
APCO Project RETAINS will be presented in two general sessions at the Illinois APCO Chapter Conference in Springfield, IL. There will be a two hour general session on October 23 that will provide instruction on the Effective Practices and a two hour general session on October 24 that will address the online Staffing and Retention Toolkit. Testifying before the House Homeland Security Committee, Michael Chertoff, Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security said, "Today, we have achieved interoperability at the command level in 10 of the highest-threat urban areas through our RapidCom program. Achieving interoperability continues to be one of seven National Priorities under the Interim National Preparedness Goal. As a result, state and local governments, and first responders, have spent about $2.1 billion of Federal grant
