APCO Releases Technical Standards
APCO International, in partnership with the IJIS Institute, the Law Enforcement Information Technology Standards Council (LEITSC), and the Central Station Alarm Association (CSAA), has released eleven new standards for the exchange of information between CAD and law enforcement records management systems (RMS). APCO RETAINS to be Featured at Mid-Eastern Chapter Conference

FCC Seeks Comment on Possible Modifications to Rules Governing the 700 MHz Guard Band Licensees
The FCC released a Notice of Proposed Rule Making (Notice) that seeks comment on possible changes to the rules governing the licensees in the Guard Band portions of the 700 MHz spectrum band. U.S. Department of Education Awards $23 Million in Emergency Response Grants
U.S. Secretary of Education Margaret Spellings announced the award of over $23 million in grants to 74 school districts in 26 states to help them enhance and fortify their emergency response and crisis management plans.
