Project LOCATE Report Receives National Press Coverage

NJTI Releases Model Recommendations for TERT Deployment

Creating Safe Schools and Responding to School Violence

Watch APCO-TV at the Annual Conference

APCO-TV is the official television news broadcast to be shown throughout the duration of the APCO International 73rd Annual Conference and Exposition, August 5-9 in Baltimore, MD.  APCO-TV is an initiative providing up-to-the-minute news for the Conference, and will include delegate reactions to key issues, interviews with key personalities at the event, as well as pre-recorded documentaries and profiles on key issues and projects for the public safety communications industry.  APCO-TV's daily news broadcasts will be viewed in the exhibition halls and on a dedicated TV channel in all APCO partner hotels in Baltimore.  To broaden the reach of APCO-TV, it is supported by the APCO-TV official newsletter and program guide, and a dynamic online presence at www.apcotv.com.

APCO RETAINS to be Featured at NY 9-1-1 Coordinators Spring Conference

The APCO Project RETAINS Team has been invited to present a one-day Project RETAINS Workshop at the New York Statewide 9-1-1 Coordinators Association 2007 Spring Conference in Albany, NY. 2007 Atlantic Chapter Conference Announces Supersession Speaker

The Atlantic Chapter announces world renowned forensic expert Dr. Henry Lee will be presenting one of its "Supersessions" at the 2007 Atlantic Chapter Conference and Business Meeting being held at the Mystic Marriott in Mystic, Conn. Wyoming Chapter Announces Business Meeting and Annual Conference

The Telecommunicator's Role in Homeland Security

An article titled Homeland Security Training for Dispatchers was published in the May issue of 9-1-1 Magazine. In the article, author Mike Scott mentions the APCO Institute's Telecommunicator's Role in Homeland Security Course and the critical role dispatchers play in recognizing terrorist incidents and how this course will assist the telecommunicator in determining that a possible terrorist event has occurred and the appropriate response. This eight-hour course is available for your agency as a co-hosted class or as a contract class. APCO Institute will be introducing a regional training program in the fall of 2007. All of the Institute's certification courses will be offered in select locations throughout the country, thus allowing agencies to plan in advance for their training needs.
