NJTI Releases Model Recommendations for TERT Deployment

The National Joint TERT Initiative (NJTI) has completed the Model Recommendations for TERT Deployment (MRTD).  The MRTD is in draft form and open for comment.  To view the document, please visit www.NJTI-TERT.org.  Please submit all comments or suggestions to the NJTI Co-Chairs at NJTIChairs@NJTI-TERT.org  by May 2.

Watch APCO-TV at the Annual Conference

APCO-TV is the official television news broadcast to be shown throughout the duration of the APCO International 73rd Annual Conference and Exposition, August 6-10 in Baltimore, MD.  APCO-TV is an initiative providing up-to-the-minute news for the Conference, and will include delegate reactions to key issues, interviews with key personalities at the event, as well as pre-recorded documentaries and profiles on key issues and projects for the public safety communications industry.  APCO-TV's daily news broadcasts will be viewed in the exhibition halls and on a dedicated TV channel in all APCO partner hotels in Baltimore.  To broaden the reach of APCO-TV, it is supported by the APCO-TV official newsletter and program guide, and a dynamic online presence at www.apcotv.com.

APCO RETAINS to be Featured at NY 9-1-1 Coordinators Spring Conference

The APCO Project RETAINS Team has been invited to present a one-day Project RETAINS Workshop at the New York Statewide 9-1-1 Coordinators Association 2007 Spring Conference in Albany, NY. 2007 Atlantic Chapter Conference Announces Supersession Speaker

The Atlantic Chapter announces world renowned forensic expert Dr. Henry Lee will be presenting one of its "Supersessions" at the 2007 Atlantic Chapter Conference and Business Meeting being held at the Mystic Marriott in Mystic, Conn. Wyoming Chapter Announces Business Meeting and Annual Conference

The Wyoming Chapter Business meeting will be held on May 8 at 9:00a.m. at the Game & Fish Building in Casper, Wyoming.  The Wyoming Chapter Annual Conference will be held November 13 and 14 at the Holiday Inn in Casper, Wyoming.  Contact Bill Gordon at tpdadmin@hscounty.com for more information.

Washington Chapter Annual Summer Training Conference

The Washington Chapter of APCO will be holding the Annual Summer Training Conference in Wenatchee, WA, June 27- 29!  The early registration deadline is April 30, so get your registrations approved and turned in ASAP!  Registration forms are available on the Washington Chapter website at www.apcowa.org! Alaska Symposium for Emergency Communications Call for Papers

Proposals for quality presentations are now being accepted for the 2007 Alaska Symposium for Emergency Communications held by Alaska NENA / APCO being held at the Hawthorn Suites in Anchorage, Alaska, October 22-24.  All proposals must be submitted by June 1.  For more information email gina.wheeler@ctsc.net or call 907-569-5672.

Missouri APCO Chapter Conference

APCO Mississippi Chapter Conference

The annual APCO-MS Chapter Conference 2007 will be held in Tupelo, MS, April 29 - May 2, at the Hilton Garden Inn Conference Hall. Fees for the conference will be $195 for three days, $85 per day. Deadline for registration will be April 15. Visit www.apco-ms.org for more information.

Training and Certification


 

New Institute Training Schedule

APCO Institute will be introducing a regional training program in the fall of 2007. All of the Institute's certification courses will be offered in select locations throughout the country, thus allowing agencies to plan in advance for their training needs. If your agency would like to participate and has a facility that will accommodate large groups and will be available for a minimum of three weeks, please email schatelk@apco911.org.

Deadline to Register for COTM Online

The deadline to register for the next Chapter Officer Training & Mentoring Course online is May 6. The distance-learning course will start on Wednesday, May 9. Also, if you will be in Baltimore, we are presenting the COTM on Sunday morning.
