APCO Committee Sign-Up Time

It is APCO Committee sign-up time, if you are interested in participating as a member of one of the many APCO International committees.  The deadline is April 15.  If you are currently serving as a committee member and wish to participate in the 2007-2008 fiscal year, be sure to sign-up again.  No one is automatically placed on the following year's committee nomination list because of current committee participation.  Visit http://apcointl.com/membership/committees.php for more information.

Coalition Releases Proposed Unified Goal for Traffic Incident Management

National Capital Region First to Deploy 700 MHZ Wireless Network for Public Safety Communication

The National Capital Region (NCR), which includes the District of Columbia and 18 other jurisdictions in Virginia and Maryland, will be the first in the nation to establish a public-safety regional wireless network at 700 MHz. Another Player in the Wrestling Match for 700 MHz Public-Safety Spectrum

APCO RETAINS to be Featured at CALEA Conference

The APCO Project RETAINS Team will be presenting a one-day Project RETAINS Workshop at the 2007 Spring CALEA Conference held in Greensboro, NC. The session is scheduled for March 16 from 9:00a.m. to 4:00p.m. and will discuss the RETAINS Staffing and Retention Effective Practices and demonstrate the online Staffing Toolkit used to assist agencies in evaluating their current staffing levels and needs.  For more information on the 2007 Spring CALEA Conference, visit www.calea.org. Missouri APCO Chapter Conference

APCO Mississippi Chapter Conference

The annual APCO-MS Chapter Conference 2007 will be held in Tupelo, MS,
April 29 - May 2, at the Hilton Garden Inn Conference Hall. Fees for
the conference will be $195 for three days, $85 per day. Deadline

2007 Atlantic Chapter Conference Call for Papers

Proposals for quality presentations are now being accepted for the 2007 Atlantic Chapter Conference and Business Meeting being held at the Mystic Marriott in Mystic, Conn.
